Before your procedure, it is best to avoid any medications that can prolong bleeding (such as aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Please tell us about all medications, vitamins and/or herbal products you are taking.

Please alert us to any health conditions you many have, including allergies and chronic conditions. If you have severe allergies with a history of anaphylaxis or multiple, severe allergies, you may not be a candidate for JUVÉDERM® XC.

Patients with histories of allergic reactions to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins should not use JUVÉDERM® XC.

Side effects include temporary and minor redness, pain, and/or swelling at the injection site. Some patients may experience lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, discoloration and very rarely, infection.
