Surgeries

When looking for a surgeon, patients site experience as their first priority. Dr. Harmon brings over 21 years of experience and skills to gynecological surgery. Combined with her diligence, commitment to continuing excellence, and her friendly bedside manner, she is the surgeon of choice for many women.

If gynecological surgery is the best option for you—after we have explored all non-surgical avenues of treatment—Salem Women’s Clinic features the most innovative surgical techniques. We offer minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries, which allow for much smaller incisions than traditional “open” surgery. This means less bleeding, less pain, and faster recovery for our patients.

Procedures

Some procedures do not require general anesthesia and can be performed at our clinic, including sterilization with the Adiana or Essure procedures, hysteroscopy for abnormal uterine bleeding, and Novasure—a non-surgical treatment for heavy periods. Most surgeries, however, will be performed at the North Bank Surgery Center by our physicians, Dr. Harmon and Dr. Tapley. Where you have your surgery will be a decision you make with your doctor.
